An exciting weekend!

This weekend was jam packed with activities. Most of it was great with the exception of a few hours on Saturday and most of Sunday night. But let's start with Friday.

After a long week at the office, Rob and Chrissy came over for dinner. We grilled steaks and had a great time.

Saturday, we started the day off well and then the UGA game came on. Man, did the guys play horribly. It was not the team we had watched the week before. Then we headed out to Chrissy's 30th birthday celebration. We had a nice evening out. Here are a few pics!

Then Sunday came and we went to Ethan's 4th Birthday Party in East Cobb. JP had a great time watching all the kids play. Here are some pics.

We came home, watched the Falcons, Nascar and took a nap. As I was outside repotting the house plants, JP played in his stroller. Being in his walker he was happy. He was just watching me with my dirty hands. As I was dumping some dirt over the balcony, I turned to see JP eating a leaf from the plant. After trying to fish most of it out with my soiled hands, I rushed him inside to see if Lance could get the rest before he swallowed. Too late! After a minute, JP had a bad reaction to the plant (yes, it is poisonous). We called poison control and they had us call 911. While on the phone with 911, JP seemed to calm down. His color returned and he had quit coughing and slobering everywhere. We took him to urgent care where he got a clean bill of health. The Dr. said he had not ingested enough to be dangerous but we did the right thing by getting him in asap!

After we got home, JP went to bed and we had a moment to relax. It was a stressful night to say the least. So far this morning, he is doing fine. But no more plants for him.
